Production Graphic Designer
Education:
BA or BFA degree in graphic design or 10 years production experience preferred.
Experience:
Literacy in Macintosh environment a must. A high proficiency in QuarkXPress, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop required. Experience in other graphic design software programs a plus. PC experience helpful.

- High level of production art skills, attention to detail and understanding of print production processes.
- Experience with press checks is preferred.
- Knowledge of the effects and best uses of special techniques such as foil stamping, die cutting, UV coating, varnishing, book binding processes, etc.
- Promising leadership skills.
- Self-motivated.
Responsibilities

- Occasionally meets with clients.
- Occasionally consults with clients to identify their graphic needs, budget constraints, and reasonable deadlines for the project.
- Develops innovative ideas and concepts that meet the client’s goals.
- Presents and helps "sell" work to clients.
- Accurately produces and processes production art.
- Mentors less experienced designers, including providing training when requested.
- Responsible for handling multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
- Responsible for professional and courteous communication with clients and co-workers.
- On occasion this position will require extended work days and possible weekends.
